SDRL Round of 12 Recap

The opening round of the playoffs for Side Draft Racing League did not disappoint! In it’s inaugural season, the regular season Champ was crowned in the last week of the regular season! Keith Fallin was the overall points leader to end the regular season! The playoffs, on the other hand, have been dominated by the #31 of Michael Prince. Prince had a strong showing in the opening rounds of the Playoffs with 2 wins and a 3rd place finish. The HCE driver had found his true form in the post season. Advancing to the round of 8 with ease; the #31 will be the car to beat when attempting to lock in to the championship four! Winning the final race of the round of 12 was the Bailey Brannan, A.K.A. the “Bucket Boy”. Brannan took an early lead in stage #3 at Bristol and didn’t look back. Stringing together rapid restarts with consistent long run speed. He could NOT be stopped at the great coliseum to secure his first win in SDRL. Keith Fallin +11, Terry Vincent +9, Tyler Smith +3, Daniel Miglin -3, Chris Mackey -9, and Bryce Keegan -18 are the remaining drivers to advance to the round of 8! With 2 intermediates and a Superspeedway, anyone can advance a birth to the Championship four! Keegan, won the pre-season shootout at Daytona and will be the kid to beat at the big track of Talladega. Chris Mackey has put together a few 2nd place finishes this season and is on the verge of his first win of the season! Daniel Miglin, a top points driver all season, struggled in the opening round of the playoffs, but could reclaim the top spot with a Homestead victory. Tyler Smith, the tire whisperer and long run guru can continue to find unique ways to get into the final round. “Scary” Terry Vincent has found victory lane a few times this season, his rapid short run speed makes him a threat on late restarts!
